Intro

 Hey there, I'm Saoirse. 

My pronouns are they/them/theirs.


I have literally no one goal for this blog. I want to share my writing and other things that I may be getting up to at any given time. 


A little bit about me. I am pagan, queer, and a parent. I homeschool some of my children, in a pseudo Charlotte Mason/Classical style. I am an artist, sort of. I suffer from a good deal of imposter syndrome there. Writing and art have been things that I have always aspired to do, but I fell out of writing after a horrible period of my life where I was in an abusive relationship. 


Many years have gone by, but I feel like it might actually stick this time.


Topics will likely cover all topics from pagan religion, LGBTQIA+ interests, crafts of all types, and my writing. Hopefully, you'll join me on my journey.

Writing

 So I'm new to being a writer. Well, trying to. Many years ago, I had a semi-successful blog. But I don't think that I ever considered myself a writer. I don't know what my voice is. I don't know hardly anything that goes into writing. All that I know is that I want to put words out there into the world. Maybe I'll change someone's life, but maybe I'll just talk to the void. We'll see. So my thoughts right now are: What do I need to do to set up a writing routine?  What is a reasonable word count goal in order to not get burnt out, but to also feel like I am getting something accomplished? What is going to be the best method to both get my writing out into the world and to market it.  Big. Ass. Shrug.  I have no idea whatsoever.  So, to start, I think I might just shoot for 1000 words and see how it feels to produce that. I don't think I'll have more than an hour or two most days to devote to this, and I really don't know if that is a feasibl...

 ADHD means that I have starts and stops with a lot of projects.  Friday, through to Saturday I had some really good planning project on the history book I am working on. When Sunday came around, however, I switched focus over to making graphics for Redbubble and some kindle direct publishing journals that I am making. I have a lot of ideas in the works, but those are the big ones. Then focus direction changes again come Monday when it is time to focus on homeschooling my kiddos. I'm trying to come up with a schedule today to balance all of the things. Blessings, Saoirse

What I've Been Up To

 I spent the majority of this week doing all sorts of things for the kids. The library started the summer reading. My middle kiddo had swimming lessons. I am planning homeschool lessons for next school year, and enjoying a break from academics.  I'm trying to find  educational toddler toys so that my smallest kiddo has something to keep them occupied while I am working with big siblings.  Pride month is in full force. I am in charge of a quote a day for our local PFLAG chapter. I batch these out, but it's almost the weekend so it's time to do that again later today.  My mind is scattered, and I feel like I am forgetting something. I need to get back to having my planner in easy reach.
